Prosthodontics is the dental specialty responsible for the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation and maintenance of health of patients with complex oro-dental and maxillofacial clinical conditions using bio compatible substitutes, including implants, to replace missing or deficient teeth and/or craniofacial tissues.

The department of prosthodontics is one of the only department which is involved in teaching all the 5 years of undergraduate students. The undergraduate course entailed theoretical, laboratory and clinical applications of the art and science of prosthodontics and craniofacial prosthetics.

Apart from educating the students, the department provides cre for patients who require comprehensive and advanced phases or prosthodontics treatment. We strive to achieve excellence in treating the patient as a whole by prosthodontic means and also train the students to make them future leaders in prosthodontics.

The department is locate in the ground floor of the building with under graduate clinics, computer room, faculty and under graduate students room, seminar room, polymer lab, gypsum lab, preclinical lab and department stores. The department is well equipped with 52 dental chairs and state of art equipments. The department has induction casting machines, ceramic furnaces, vacuum mixers, steam cleaners, duplicating machine, composite curing unit, soldering machine, moulding machine, milling machines, acrylizer and high speed lathes with suction.
